Thursday, September 10, 2015 : From Grand Canyon to Chinle

Today is a day with few visits. We are in no hurry, and we are taking our time.

Grand Canyon nevertheless reserves a few surprises. As we are getting close to leaving the park, a pack of young deer cross the road right in front of us.

We make a stop at Marble Canyon, to take pictures of the bridge over the Colorado. This is not yet Grand Canyon, but the gorge is already deep. The next bridge is more than 300 miles west, next to Hoover Dam.

Later, we drive across the mesas on the Navajo and Hopi reservations. We do not take any pictures, this is considered disrespectful of local people's beliefs.

At the end of the day, we arrive in Chinle, at the far east of Arizona. Tomorrow, we will visit Canyon de Chelly.
