Sunday, May 26, 2013 : From New York City to Boston

A last glimpse of One World Trade Center, this time against a clear blue sky, and we leave New York City.

Freedom Tower

After a quick passage before St John the Divine, the largest cathedral in New York City, and a photo stop at the Apollo Theater, we hit the highway toward New England.

We visit Plimoth Plantation, a re-enaction of a 1627 English colony. It's very well done, very interesting, with an opportunity to talk with the actors. They all play their part skillfully, even speaking with a great English accent from four centuries ago.

We were supposed to visit the Mayflower II, a replica of the original, anchored in nearby Plymouth. But the ship is undergoing refection, and can't be seen.

Bad luck ... Let's drive to Boston, now.
